Nutty Narrows Bridge

The Nutty Narrows Squirrel Bridge is a historic squirrel-sized suspension bridge erected in 1963 in Longview, Washington. Built to protect local squirrels from traffic hazards while crossing Olympia Way, it consists of a canvas fire hose deck suspended between trees and has inspired a series of unique animal-crossing bridges throughout the city.
